Opening on Saturday 17th May 2014, the Island’s beautiful town Yarmouth will become home to an exciting new artisan coffee house, the first for the ancient harbour town. Conveniently positioned on Quay St, the coffee house will be known as PO41 – acknowledging both the heritage of its Yarmouth postcode and familiar postioning at the old post office.
Inspired by the vibrant artisan coffee culture revolutionising London’s cafe scene, owners Aiden and Louise Collins (who already own Chessel Pottery Barns and Cafe) intend to create a contemporary cafe experience that is both intimate and atmospheric: “We will be dedicated to serving gourmet coffee, a select range of luxury loose leaf teas and a delicious array of our own sweet and savoury treats”. PO41 will focus in the refined artistry of coffee making, with the coffee
being sourced from the award winning artisan hand roaster, Union. With renowned Island Chef Bridget Wells (Head Chef at the Chessell Cafe) on their doorstep, all things nice to eat at PO41 will be sourced within the PO41 postcode (from the newly built production kitchen at Chessell).
PO41 is a family business and will be sourcing much of its produce locally, as well as being a space for local artists to display their work. PO41 residents will also benefit from exlusive offers such as “festy discount” available during those crazy holiday periods – the first of which will be Yarmouth’s popular “Old Gaffers” which takes place only a few weeks after PO41 opening.
