It’s exciting times at Isle of Wight Cheese Co as they have unveiled their brand new cheese, Blue Slipper.
A pasteurised, naturally rinded soft blue cheese which is a much softer version of their bestselling Isle of Wight Blue, but with no internal veining. Named after the famous gault clay that is found in abundance on our beautiful island. Currently just a text batch, the new cheese is available at a range of local stockists across the Isle of Wight before being officially rolled out in 2018.
The mushroomy, camembert notes with the blue flavour is the prefect choice for your soirees during Cowes Week and well into the winter season.
The Isle of Wight Cheese Co started making cheese from scratch at Queen Bower Dairy in November 2006. It soon gathered a devoted customer base and awards quickly followed, most notably Best English Cheese 2007 at the World Cheese Awards. Since then they have expanded their customer base and range and now use almost every drop of milk the farmer can give them!
