Pubs don’t get a more traditional setting than the Dairyman’s Daughter, at the heart of an ancient village, nestled in the lee of the Arreton Valley. The pub is named after Elizabeth Wallbridge, a local girl who was made famous by the book ‘Annals of the Poor’. She is now buried in the village churchyard alongside a 12th Century church, village green and duck pond within Arreton Barns. Arreton Barns is one of the Island’s most popular visitor attractions and is easy to enjoy, browsing the shops and watching local craftsmen at work after a hearty pub lunch. Beautifully decorated in original village memorabilia, the Dairyman’s Daughter has a lovely outdoor courtyard and sheltered seating area, ideal for the summer months. The extensive menu of home cooked dishes showcases some of the best local produce on offer across the Island.
