Voted within the top 10 most cosy pubs in the UK by the Sunday Telegraph for 2018, The Sun Inn is a stunning 16th century thatched free house pub set in beautiful countryside near Compton Beach on the south-west coast of the Isle of Wight, it is a perfect stop-off point for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.

For cooler days, sit inside with a large dining area and small traditional bar with original flagstone flooring. Outside there is a huge beer garden and dining areas with stunning views of rolling countryside and Tennyson Down.

Island owned by a four generation family, you will not be disappointed with the hospitality, food and drink. The menu features the best in local produce and regularly runs special nights, such as curry evenings, fish Friday’s and much more.
