Located at one of the Island’s highest points, The Culver Haven Inn boasts some of the best views on the Isle of Wight.

What is the best thing about being a landlady?
The ever changing trends in the food and drink trade. I have worked in pubs for 28 years now and the whole industry has changed beyond all recognition. It’s not like working in accountancy for instance, where the most exciting thing is a change in tax law.

What is your favourite local tipple?
The HMS Victory Gin from the Island Distillery. I love selling real ales but haven’t quite got the taste for them, but luckily my customers love them!

Other than your pub, where would you go for a drink?
I would go to a decent country pub with a good beer garden. There is nothing better than a warm sunny day, a cold drink and a good beer garden.

I have grown up by the water and can’t imagine not living near the sea. A bbq on the beach looking out across The Solent is a great way to end a day.
