Get the full garlic experience at the home of the UK garlic – set in a wonderful location tucked into the foot of the Mersley Downs.

What is the best thing about the Isle of Wight foodie scene?
The Island has become home to some fantastic artisan producers. Nearly all food sectors are now represented, from fabulous meats and cheeses, artisan beers and spirits, quality fresh produce and excellent dairy products. Local food has never been so good.

What is your local tipple?
I love the Isle of Wight Distillery’s Rock Sea Vodka in a Bloody Mary with a garlic twist!

What is your favourite dish you cook using garlic?
Such a hard question to answer! It depends on the season, but right now it’s Elephant Garlic Scapes with Chorizo, which is a dish invented by my husband to make the most of these amazing fresh shoots from the Elephant Garlic plants.

Where is your favourite place for a cuppa and a slice of something nice?
The Terrace at The Royal Hotel in Ventnor – the view is absolutely stunning.

What is your favourite event on the Island?
We absolutely love Rhythm Tree Festival (13, 14, 15 July) and can’t wait to attend this year.
