For Shanklin, Sandown, Brading and Bembridge, we have put together this list of businesses we know are still offering a service in this area in terms of where you can buy groceries. It’s About Thyme are offering deliveries six days a week for veg, fruit, deli items, pies, pastries, cakes, butter, and Isle of Wight, Italian and Spanish produce. They are currently working with other local businesses to deliver things that you are missing! Cakes from Grand View Tea Rooms, pies from Wilkinson’s (as well as their own) and homemade baked goodies, including pulled pork sausage rolls, IW Goat sausage rolls, chocolate and beetroot muffins, cheese scones, marmalades, jams, harissa and hummus etc. For a price list you can email them itsaboutthymeshanklin@gmail.com. Deliveries to Shanklin, Lake, Sandown, Bonchurch, Wroxall and Ventnor every day. Other areas may need to be bundled together, but they will endeavour to deliver within 48 hours.

WW Woodford & Sons  strive to provide their customers with the best quality meats on the Isle of Wight. Having built their reputation for more than 110 years by supplying first-class meat and game to the people of the Island. Visit their new website to shop or give them a call. They are offering FREE Island-wide delivery on orders over £20.

Captain Stans

Captain Stan’s continue to fish the Island’s waters at this time bring you fresh local seafood.

Captain Stan’s Bembridge Fish  in the heart of Bembridge Village, are still bringing you fresh fish and shellfish mostly caught by their own boat moored in Bembridge Harbour. Their shop is still open but operating with strict social distancing measures. They are open 9am–3pm Monday to Thursday and 9am–4.30pm Friday and Saturday.


The Farm Shop & No 8 Cafe, Bembridge deliver to the local community.

The Farm Shop & No 8 Cafe  in Bembridge’s mission is to provide as much local and seasonal produce as possible. They also stock a growing range of Wholefood and Health Food products. During this time they are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am–3pm. Island Bakers bread is available Wednesday to Saturday. Offering deliveries of produce to Ryde, Seaview, Bembridge, Brading, St Helens and Sandown. Visit their website or give them a call for more details. (Also pictured in featured image).

Grace’s Bakery have sites across the Island in Shanklin, Newport, Ryde, Yarmouth and Cowes. They are doing home delivery on bread, flour, eggs, pasta, cakes, yeast. Minimum order £8, next day delivery if ordered before 2.30pm. Call (01983) 566868 or message on Facebook. Pre-order and collection no minimum order. Call the shops and request items to be reserved before coming in on the day.
