For Ryde, Wootton, Fishbourne, Seaview and St Helens, we have put together this list of businesses we know are still offering a service in this area in terms of where you can buy groceries. We have put together a guide for each Isle of Wight area – you can view them here Central, North, North East, East, South and West.

Briddlesford Lodge Farm brings you milk, straight from the farm’s award-winning Guernsey herd, alongside luxurious clotted cream and butter made on-site in the farm kitchen. Milk is available pasteurised as whole, semi-skimmed or skimmed as well their delicious cream and range of farmhouse cheeses.

Stock up on a full range of specialist Isle of Wight meats including Briddlesford veal, award-winning sausages, the farm’s own pies and casseroles, as well as local favourites Cheverton Farm beef and lamb, Idlecombe Farm lamb and Brownrigg poultry. They are offering home delivery Monday to Friday but contact them for details.

Barrow Boys are a rare traditional family-run greengrocer in Ryde. The shop isn’t currently open during the current lockdown but they are still offering an online Island-wide delivery service. Once orders have been placed, they take 3–4 days to be delivered due to a high volume of demand and some produce is now in short supply.

The team continues to do all they can to see that Island residents get fresh fruit and vegetables over the next few months. Also as they are able to, they will add more essential products for home delivery to so keep an eye on their website or give them a call to find out more.

Grace’s Bakery’s cakes will sweeten your lockdown.

Grace’s Bakery have sites across the Island in Newport, Ryde, Yarmouth, Shanklin and Cowes. They are doing home delivery on bread, flour, eggs, pasta, cakes, yeast. Minimum order £8, next day delivery if ordered before 2.30pm. Call (01983) 566868 or message on Facebook. Pre-order and collection no minimum order. Call the shops and request items to be reserved before coming in on the day.

Island Foods Butchers is a traditional family butchers stocking Isle of Wight meats that can be delivered directly to your door. They do free home delivery on orders over £15. The shop is not open at the moment but you can order online, by phone or email.

D W Jarvis Family Butchers of Ryde offers delivery for free with no minimum order. Ideal for those that have to stay in or may need to arrange supplies for loved ones. Individual arrangements are no problem. Purveyors of quality naturally fed meat, Pure Scotch Aberdeen Angus and North Devon beef, local and Dorset lambs to name just a few. They have a full range of homemade sausages all in natural skins and in many different flavours.

Do not fear the Isle of Wight Distillery are still doing online orders so there will be no real disruption to you getting your gin and other Island spirits! Their deliveries happen on weekdays to the whole Island. Orders in before 9.30am for same-day delivery. Minimum order is one bottle.

Rosemary Vineyard – whilst the vineyard itself is closed due to government guidelines, don’t worry they have got you covered via their website, with their own Rosemary Vineyard products, as well as Isle of Wight Distillery and Goddards Brewery items available online. There are bulk buy options and gift sets available and they can also take orders over the phone for all products, including some food produce on (01983) 811084. Free Island delivery for orders over £30. Deliveries will happen every Friday Island-wide, so you must order before Thursday to receive your delivery that week.

Goddards Brewery are taking online orders through their website where you can shop their range of local Isle of Wight ales from the oldest brewery on the Island.  They are offering weekday deliveries Island-wide. Order before 9.30am for same-day delivery. Minimum order is one case of beer.


Craft Vegan Pizza in addition to their fantastic Friday and Saturday night pizza takeaway and delivery service, now also offer a weekly Vegan Happiness Hamper. The hampers can include any of the following items: Oat Milk £2, Soy Milk £2, Vegan Sausage Rolls £5, Craft Smoked Cheeze £3, Craft Mozza-hella Yeah £3, Craft Greek Cheeze £3, Craft Houmous £3, Craft Garlic Mayonnaise £3, Craft Sourdough Pack (200g sourdough starter, 2kg white flour) £10, Craft Choc Brownies £3, Fruity Flapjacks £3, Craft pizza Kit (2 sourdough dough balls, Craft Mozza-hella Yeah £10, Hoisin Not Duck Bao Bun Kit (6 steamed bao buns, 300g Linda Macartney hoisin not-duck and shredded onion topping) £10. Last orders are taken Monday at 12noon for delivery on Tuesdays. Minimum order £20, free Island-wide delivery.
