For Cowes, Gurnard, East Cowes and Whippingham, we have put together this list of businesses we know are still offering a service in this area in terms of where you can buy groceries. We have put together a guide for each Isle of Wight area – you can view them here Central, North, North East, East, South and West.

The Butcher’s Shop in Cowes is a local, independent, family butcher’s service providing high-quality meats and other related Island-based products. If you are heading to the shop, to reduce contact further their butchers will place your goods on a table and you can collect. They are offering a free delivery service to Cowes and the surrounding areas, or if you’re further afield, there is a £5 charge. They are doing many special offers at the moment so keep your eyes peeled on their Facebook page for details.

The Butcher’s shop is your friendly local butchers keep an eye ut for their regular deals!

The Food Hamper is offering an Island-wide delivery service for a range of products, including local Island produce such as Island Bakers bread (depending on interest), The Tomato Stall tomatoes, Isle of Wight free-range eggs, Wild Island salad dressings, cheese crackers, Isle of Wight biscuits, porridge and flour. Island Bakers bread from The Food Hamper

Healthy Indulgence is an independent health food shop stocking a wide range of organic, vegan, allergen-free, chilled and frozen foods, herbal remedies, vitamin and mineral supplements, home and body products, and aromatherapy. They offer a refill service for hair, body and home cleaning products, along with home-cooked vegan, gluten and refined sugar-free cakes, cookies and frozen meals. They have added a virtual shop to their website, where you can move your cursor over the photos and see what products they’ve got in stock. It’s always changing and some products they’re still having difficulty getting in although give them a call on 01983 297422 if you’re after something in particular. The shop is open 10am–5.30pm on a one person at a time basis, but if you phone ahead they will prepare your order for collection or arrange home delivery if you’re self-isolating. Order by 2pm, Monday to Friday, for delivery on the same day to Cowes, Gurnard and Northwood, although they also deliver to Newport on Mondays and Thursdays. 

Graces Bakery

Grace’s Bakery have the whole sland covered with Island-wide delivery.

Grace’s Bakery have sites across the Island in Shanklin, Newport, Ryde, Yarmouth and Cowes. They are doing home delivery on bread, flour, eggs, pasta, cakes, yeast. Minimum order £8, next day delivery if ordered before 2.30pm. Visit their website to order or call (01983) 566868. Pre-order and collection no minimum order. Call the shops and request items to be reserved before coming in on the day.
