It’s the time of year when we like to reflect and look back over the year. We thought we would take it one step further and look over our very own Taste of the Wight and where we have come from, to where we are now. It is only when you actually look back that you can sometimes see how much you have progressed.
We published our very first edition back in March 2013. At the time, we went for the pocket size guide as a handy addition to your holiday to the Isle of Wight- that you could quite literally pop in your pocket. Then in March 2016, we decided to bite the bullet and increase the spec to A5. This was largely due to the fact that we had so much content to fit in and everyone wanted to be included, it would no longer fit inside our pocket guide!
We also had noticed that our readership was changing slightly. Visitors had always loved the guide but we found more and more locals were picking it up to read the interesting features about local produce and also to help think of somewhere new to go and eat.
2017 has been a really great year for us – our editions have been very well received, as was our very first recipe book that we published in the spring. We can’t wait for 2018, we have more big plans on the horizon, so continue to watch this space!
