Artisan Bar, Ryde, Isle of WightFrom the creative team behind Inns of Distinction – who run some of the most popular pubs across the Island (The Boathouse, The Fishbourne and The Spinnaker) – comes Artisan, the latest bar and dining experience, opening at 6pm tonight.

Set in the heart of Ryde on the bustling Union Street, Artisan will use wood salvaged from Ryde Pier and doors from an old Seaview chemist. Artisan will be a relaxed and friendly bar serving a wide range of craft beers and European beers and the food will focus on sharing platters, small plates and authentic Italian dishes.

Upstairs will be a Cocktail and Gin Lounge open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The resident mixologist will have access to 100 different gins as well as creating delicious cocktails. There will be live music from local bands and musicians and plenty of entertainment for the opening weekend.

We can’t wait to try it out – see you there!

I have grown up by the water and can’t imagine not living near the sea. A bbq on the beach looking out across The Solent is a great way to end a day.
